TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ENGEN & MYVUSE REWARDS WIN A TRIP COMPETITION

Thank you for your interest in the competition. This is a consumer promotional competition open to eligible retail consumers of participating Vuse and Velo products at Engen forecourts. Please read the following terms and conditions:

1. The following (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Engen Win a Trip Competition to win a trip to the value of R100,000. As BAT, we will assist you in designing your trip of your dreams.
2. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications relating to the Competition.
3. By entering into this competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, please do not enter this competition.

The Promoter 

4. The Promoter is British American Tobacco South Africa Proprietary Limited (registration number 1995/009509/07), whose registered office is at 3 Dock Road, Waterway House, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa (“Promoter“ or “BAT”).

Eligibility Requirements

5. The competition is open to current nicotine consumers over the age of 18 that purchases a Vuse 1000 puff, a 3000 puff, or a Propen device plus any can of Velo.
6. In entering the Competition, the consumer confirms that they are an Eligible Entrant, over the age of 18, and are eligible to claim the prize(s).
7. The Promoter may require the consumer to provide proof that they are an Eligible Entrant at any point during the Competition.
8. The Promoter is not liable if any entrant is not legally allowed to take part in the Competition due to their age.

Competition Period
 

9. The competition will commence on 25 May 2026 (“Opening Date”) and will end at 23:59 (GMT) on 31 July 2026 (“Closing Date”) (“Competition Period”).

How to enter
 

10. Buy any Vuse 1000, 3000 puff or a Propen device plus any can of Velo and register to win.
11. Scan the QR code and fill in all the necessary details.
12. Share a photo of your till slip.
13. Like and follow Vuse and Velo social media pages.
14. Provided entrants have met the above entry requirements for the duration of the Competition Period, they will be entered into the Competition and be eligible to win the Prize.
15. In the event that an entrant is found to be non-compliant with the criteria for the competition, the entrant will automatically be removed from the competition.
16. No entries will be accepted after the Closing Date.
17. All entries received before the Closing Date will be reviewed by the Promoter to ensure they meet the Eligibility Requirements.
18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, ineligible, corrupted, lost, damaged, or otherwise fail to reach it during the Competition Period.
19. The Promoter accepts no liability for entrants’ failure to gain access to the Competition due to technical difficulties (including but not limited to faults, malfunctions, hardware or software failure, satellite/network/server error, or user error).
20. Entrants agree to indemnify and hold the Promoter and its suppliers, partners, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from their participation in the Competition or violation of these Terms.

Announcement of the Winners  

21. After the Closing Date, winners will be notified via email and/or telephone by the Promoter, where they will be requested to provide documentation to verify eligibility.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries and/or suspend the draw if it has reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activities have occurred.
23. Announcement of winners will be made by 31 August 2026

The Prize

24. Design your own trip to the value of R100,000.
25. The prize includes airport transfers, flights, meal allowance, accommodation, transport arrangements, and applicable tickets.
26. The prize may be presented as a redeemable voucher through an appointed travel agent.
27. Winners must ensure they comply with all travel requirements and documentation.
28. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
29. The Promoter may substitute the Prize with one of equal value.
30. The Promoter, its agents, or distributors shall not be liable if winners fail to claim the Prize.
31. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied by third parties

32. Any personal information that you provide to the Promoter in relation to the Competition will only be used for the purpose of the Competition, including contacting you if you are a winner
33. Any personal information that you provide to the Promoter in relation to the Competition will only be used for the purpose of the competition, contacting you, if you are a Winner.
34. Entry into the competition is completely voluntary. If you do not provide information required for entry, you will not be entered into the Competition.
35. By entering this Competition, you consent to the publication of your information, such as name and surname, on Vuse social media.

General Terms
 

36. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of any catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, epidemic or pandemic, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control.
37. The Promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these Terms and Conditions. Any changes to the Competition will be notified as soon as possible by the Promoter.
38. Your entry is made without any prior payment or promise of payment or the expectation by you of any payment, benefit or advantage in return for your entry, except for the possibility of obtaining those benefits expressly referred to in these Terms and Conditions as being part of this Competition (including the prizes).
39. The Promoter reserves the right to investigate and undertake all such action, as is reasonable, to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid entries. In addition, the Promoter reserves the right to reject those entries which it considers, in its absolute discretion, do not comply with these Terms and Conditions or are fraudulent or invalid.
40. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all the matters to do with the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
41. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of South Africa. The laws of any other jurisdiction of any other courts are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
